A new form must be filled out for each student before the end of June every school year, even if there are no changes in your child's transportation schedule. Please submit the completed form to the Main Office that your child attends.

You can also use this form to request a permanent change in your child’s schedule, but we cannot accommodate daily changes. We cannot accept notes to the bus driver, monitor, teacher, or any other staff member, or communication via text messages, emails, or social media. Each change in the normal transportation routine increases the chances of confusion, boarding the wrong bus, or being dropped off at the wrong location. For the safety of the children, please follow these guidelines as your child’s safety is our top priority.

The updated form to request transportation to a Non-Public School is now available for the 2024-2025 school year. Please return the completed forms to Kristin Warren.  New York State Education Law requires that a written request for transportation to a non-public school be filed each year by April 1st to be eligible for transportation the following year.

1) K-12 All Students.
2) Private/Parochial Schools
Students will be transported provided they reside 15 miles or less from the school they wish to attend. Requests must be submitted each April 1, preceding the school year. Requests should include the child's name, address, grade level, age, and school they wish to attend, and sent to Business Administrator, Bloomfield Central School District, 45 Maple Avenue, Suite A Bloomfield, NY 14469.
3) Daycare providers
If the location of the daycare is within the school district and is an established stop along a regular route, transportation will be provided.

1. Observe classroom conduct.
2. Be courteous, no profane language.
3. Do not eat or drink on the bus.
4. Keep the bus clean.
5. Cooperate with the driver.
6. No Smoking
7. Do not tamper with the bus equipment.
8. Stay in your seat.
9. Keep your head, hands, and feet inside the bus.
10. The bus driver is authorized to assign seats.
11. No glass containers are allowed on the bus.
Students should be at their bus stop 5 minutes before the bus arrives. The rules for conduct on the bus are established to protect all students and apply whenever a student rides to and from school, and to and from school activities.

Middle/High school students may ride the elementary bus (3:20 p.m.) with a pass obtained by their teacher or the MS/HS Office.

It is against the law to pass a stopped school bus at any time if the bus is displaying flashing red signal lights. Violations will be reported to the police.
