Stay Up-to-Date
Throughout the year, the Bloomfield Central School District communicates important announcements and updates to parents and guardians using a mass messaging system, ParentSquare. This tool plays a vital role in keeping district families informed about important information, special events, and school closings.
To ensure announcements and updates are received, the district asks parents and guardians to verify that their information in the student information database, SchoolTool, is accurate and up to date. SchoolTool data is used to populate contact lists in ParentSquare. The primary contact in SchoolTool is determined by the student's home residence.
Information can be updated by contacting Kristin Warren at the District Office.
For additional updates and questions, please contact the main office of the student's school. Parents and guardians are encouraged to update their information immediately following any change in status. Similarly, when a situation arises that requires direct notification of a parent or guardian outside of the mass messaging system, the district utilizes the primary contact listed in SchoolTool.
Bloomfield has students with a wide variety of living situations unique to each family. The use of a primary contact allows the district to have a clear and consistent strategy for all families across the district. This process helps disseminate information concisely to the parents and guardians at the home in which the student resides. The responsibility and expectation are that the primary contact will then serve as a conduit to provide information to any additional parties who may need to be informed.
If you have any questions regarding contact information updates or the notification process, please contact the District Office.
