Congratulations to our girls basketball team, who defeated East Rochester, 49-39, to win the 2024 Section V Class C1 Championship on Friday at Finger Lakes Community College.
The win gives the Bombers their first sectional title since 2007.
Annie Dodge was named Class C1 sectional tournament MVP, while Calla McCombs and Lily Baughman were named all-tournament selections. Before the game, Bloomfield was announced as the Finger Lakes West league sportsmanship award recipient for the 2023-24 season.
The Bombers travel to Marcus Whitman High School on Tuesday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m. to play Class C2 champion Dundee/Bradford in the Class C Regional Qualifier.
