With the recent launch of a new Free Application for Federal Student Aid, Finger Lakes Community College is hosting a special SUNY Financial Aid Day event on Saturday, February 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. After a brief presentation, financial aid office staff members will assist families with submitting the 2024-2025 FAFSA.
The 2024-25 FAFSA expands eligibility for federal student aid, including Pell grants, and provides a streamlined user experience. More than 600,000 new students from low-income backgrounds will be eligible to receive federal Pell grants due to updates in student aid calculations. Plus, applicants will be able to skip as many as 26 questions, depending on their individual circumstances.
Due to limited lab capacity, attendees are asked to bring a maximum of two guests.
