Superintendent Andy Doell Receives Award From Rural Schools Association of New York State

Bloomfield Central School District Superintendent of Schools Andy Doell received the prestigious William Deming Award for Outstanding Service to Rural Schools by a School Employee at the Rural Schools Association of New York State 2023 Summer Conference earlier this month.

“I don't want this to be just about me,” Doell said. “I could not be successful without a great family, a great board of education, a great leadership team, a great faculty and staff, and a great community behind me supporting me all the way.”

Rural Schools Association of New York State (RSANY) is an organization that partners with the small and rural school districts across the state to provide advocacy, professional collaboration and developmental events. The RSANY 2023 Summer Conference, which took place in Cooperstown, NY from July 9-11, focused this year on the theme of “Rebuilding the Rural Reality: From the Middle of Nowhere to the Heart of Everything.”

“The Bloomfield Board of Education is extremely proud and grateful for the work Andy is doing,” said board president Pam Nakoski. “He continues to make our district shine and do everything he can to ensure the success of each and every student.”
