Andy McFadden Named to USA Lacrosse All-Academic Team

Congratulations to Bloomfield senior defenseman Andy McFadden for being named to the 2023 All-Academic Team by USA Lacrosse!

This year’s All-Academic Team honors were given to just five Section V Boys Lacrosse student-athletes who averaged a GPA of 3.7 (on a 4.0 scale), and were also an asset to their team. The Section V lacrosse head coaches considered players and voted on each of the awards. The selections from our area were then submitted to the USA Lacrosse for final approval.

Throughout his senior year, McFadden took a full course load consisting of AP and IB classes, and was an active member of the National Honor Society. He was also recognized with the College Board National Rural and Small-Town Recognition Program Award. McFadden will attend SUNY Geneseo in the fall, where he will pursue a double major in biochemistry and finance.

"As a captain, Andy demonstrated incredible leadership and growth on and off the field," said Bloomfield-Honeoye Boys Lacrosse Head Coach Joe Sidari. "He has been a positive and uplifting voice for our young team, going out of his way to support his teammates and ensure they understand their responsibilities. His work ethic, consistency, and composed demeanor on the field have made him an exceptional defensemen this year."

Congratulations to Andy on this remarkable accomplishment! We at Bloomfield CSD encourage everyone to extend their well wishes to him personally.
