Cares Club Creates and Donates Fleece Blankets

Students from Cares Club have been making blankets for Project Linus, which supplies blankets to local children’s hospitals.

There are 30 fifth graders in the after-school Cares Club. The students picked out and donated the fleece they wanted to make the blankets with in order to donate to the children's hospital. They have worked several days after school on finishing their projects.

"We do monthly service projects for different groups of their choosing," said Ms. Ashton, who supervises the Cares Club. "They were delighted to be helping out local children."
