Dear Bloomfield School Community,

As we wrap up another exciting week of school, I would like to share several highlights that reflect the accomplishments, traditions, and pride that make our district such a special place.

Our Jazz Concert on Tuesday was a tremendous success, with students delivering outstanding performances that showcased their hard work, dedication, and musical talent. Thank you to our talented musicians, Mrs. Mohr and Mr. Hoffman, and the families who supported this wonderful event. It was a fantastic evening that highlighted the strength of our music program and the commitment of our students.

At Wednesday’s Board of Education meeting, we had the privilege of recognizing our retirees for their years of service and unwavering commitment to our students and school community. Combined, our three retirees have dedicated nearly 90 years of service to the Bloomfield Central School District. Their contributions have left a lasting impact on countless students, colleagues, and families, and we are deeply grateful for all they have done. Congratulations and best wishes to Mrs. Sossong, Mrs. Baylor-Smith, and Mr. Darling.

During the Board meeting, we also celebrated our sectional championship teams and individual sectional title winners, recognizing the remarkable accomplishments of our student-athletes and coaches. It was especially rewarding to hear not only about their athletic achievements, but also about the academic recognition they have earned in the classroom. Their success is a testament to perseverance, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

On Thursday, several of our seniors participated in the Wayne-Finger Lakes Career and Technical Education Signing Day. We are incredibly proud of these students, who have demonstrated the skills, work ethic, and professionalism that employers  value. The event celebrated our seniors, along with seniors from across the region, as they prepare to transition directly into rewarding careers after graduation. Their accomplishments reflect their hard work and the bright futures they have ahead of them.

One of the most meaningful events of the week was today’s Senior Walk through the elementary school. Our graduating seniors were welcomed by younger students, faculty, and staff, creating a meaningful experience for all involved. The Senior Walk serves as a powerful reminder that it takes an entire school community to help students reach milestones such as graduation. It provided an opportunity to reflect on our seniors’ educational journeys and celebrate how far they have come.

As we look ahead, we are excited to celebrate the Class of 2025 at graduation next week. Graduation is a significant milestone, and we look forward to honoring the accomplishments of our seniors as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives and the opportunities that lie ahead.

As always, thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. We’re proud to celebrate the incredible things happening in our District. Please remember to let us know if you ever have any questions or ever need anything.

Andy Doell
