Softball Wins First Ever State Championship
SOFTBALL STATE CHAMPIONS! Bloomfield clinched the first softball state title in school history with an 11-0 win over Tuckahoe (Section 1) in the Class C NYSPHSAA Championship final at Green Light Networks Grand Slam Park in Binghamton on Saturday.
The Bombers came out strong, taking a quick 2–0 lead in the first inning on a two-RBI single by Ashlyn Wright. They stayed hot at the plate, with Syd Falsone blasting a two-RBI triple in the second to spark a three-run inning. Bloomfield continued to add to their lead with timely hits from Bri Leitten, Marlee Poole, and Wright, who finished with multiple clutch RBIs—including a two-run double in the fifth. Wright was dominant on both sides of the ball, tossing a complete-game shutout from the circle.
It was a truly historic season for the Bombers, which also included a second-consecutive and second-ever sectional title. Congratulations on an amazing season!
