Try these websites for your country research first:

http://2facts.com/ Select "Encyclopedia" from the top bar, then search your country by name.  The main encyclopedia article will be one of the top returned articles.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the MLA citation already created for you! 

http://auth.grolier.com/login/go_login_page.html   Use the search box to search both the encyclopedia and the Lands and People database.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the MLA citation already created for you! 

http://www.factmonster.com/countries.html  individual country profiles. Citation button at the bottom of the article.

http://www.libraryspot.com/countries/  great database of free websites.  Choose BBC and other newsworthy sites over a Wiki.  You'll need to create your own citations.

http://www.estrellita.com/latino.html  Latino resources on the 'net (for ESL and LOTE students)
