Library Policies:

• Each class visits the library once every 6 day cycle.
• Student books are due back each 6 day cycle.  Books can be renewed if a student is still reading a book.  Students may renew a book up to 3 times unless another student is waiting for a book then it may only be renewed once.
• Kindergarten and 1st grade students are allowed to check out 1 book at a time.
• 2nd-5th grade students may check out 2 books at a time.
• Students are welcome to return library books as soon as they are finished reading and do not need to wait until their library day to return materials.
• Accidents do happen and books do get misplaced.  If a student has misplaced a book, a parent or guardian will be asked to sign an IOU form which will be sent home with the student.  The IOU note simply states that if the book is not found by the end of the school year you are repsonsible for paying for it.  By signing this form, a student will continue to be able to check library books out of the library.
• If a book gets damaged a damage letter will also be sent home requesting payment for the book.
