MRSA/Super Bug - FAQ

In light of the recent incidents of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA), which is now in the Upstate area, Bloomfield staff are taking extra precautions to ensure the continued safety of our students.  Teachers and coaches will discuss good hygiene measures and how to minimize the spread of germs.  Cleaning crews will continue to use a disinfectant that is designed to kill these types of bacteria, including MRSA, on high-touch surfaces.

If you think your child may have a staph or MRSA infection, contact your health care provider immediately.  Please remember.. personal hygiene is the BEST defense against any staph or MRSA infection.  We encourage you to have conversations wtih your child at home.
