Meet the AIS Teachers

Mrs. Bailey

I grew up in Olean New York.  From a very young age, I was sure that I wanted to be a teacher.  I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education as well as my Master’s in Reading from SUNY Geneseo.

It’s hard to believe that this school year marks my 21st year teaching in Bloomfield Elementary and I can’t imagine teaching anywhere else.  My experience ranges from Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade, and finally onto AIS. Each position has helped me understand the unique learning needs of every student, the perfect match for my passion for teaching.

When not in the AIS classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my two children and dog Mojo.

Mrs. Baker

I grew up in Lewiston, NY which is near Niagara Falls.  I have a twin sister who is a music teacher at Wayne Central.  I went to SUNY Geneseo and graduated with a teaching degree in Elementary and Special Education.  I loved Geneseo so much that I also received my Masters Degree from there in Reading.

This is currently my fifteenth year of teaching.  I taught Special Education for two years in Rochester and first grade at Wheatland-Chili for one year.  I taught kindergarten here at Bloomfield for two years and four years at second grade.  This is my sixth year teaching AIS!  Besides teaching, I enjoy running with my sister and spending time with my husband and dog.
