Meet Mr. Donnelly

My name is Scott Donnelly and it is my privilege to be the Principal of Bloomfield Elementary School.  It is my fourth year in this position.  I feel fortunate each and every day to be able to work with Bloomfield Elementary staff, students, and families.

I began my teaching career as a sixth grade math and science teacher, but the majority of the time I spent in the classroom was at the fourth grade level. Before coming to Bloomfield, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be an elementary assistant principal for six years.

Music is a major part of my life. I began playing guitar at a young age and continue to play almost every day. I have a bachelor’s degree in education and music from SUNY Fredonia and a master’s degree in music from Ithaca College.  I have advanced certificates in Education Administration and School Business Administration from SUNY Brockport.

I love to spend my free time with my wife and two young sons. We enjoy the outdoors and the beauty of the Finger Lakes. There isn’t a place in the world that we’d rather live. I am also an avid baseball fan, woodworker, and trivia enthusiast.

At Bloomfield Elementary, we prepare students to make a positive impact on the world.  I am honored to be a part of this learning community.
