School Board Member/Library Trustee Petitions Available

Petitions for Bloomfield School Board Member and Library Trustee positions are now available for interested candidates. The Bloomfield Board of Education has two open seats, and the Library Board of Trustees has seven open seats. The annual budget vote and election will take place on May 21, 2024, and will provide an opportunity for voters to elect two Board of Education members to the Bloomfield Central School District Board of Education and five Library Trustees to the Board of Trustees of the Bloomfield Public Library.

To obtain a nominating petition form, you can visit the District Clerk's office at the District Office, 45 Maple Avenue (entrance located behind the elementary school), Monday through Friday between 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. The completed petitions must be filed with the District Clerk's office, located at 45 Maple Avenue, Suite A, no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, April 22, 2024.

 

Bloomfield Board of Education

The Bloomfield Board of Education is comprised of seven members who are elected by District residents and serve five-year, unpaid terms. They have the authority and duty to set policies within State and Federal laws and serve as the liaisons between the community and the educational staff.
