Band Wins Overall Achievement Award!

The Bloomfield High School concert band, jazz ensemble, woodwind quintet, marching band, color guard, and drumline traveled to Sherburne, New York for one of the largest spring music festivals in the state on June 1st and 2nd.

34 school districts from around the state participated.

Bloomfield came in 1st in concert band, jazz band, and small ensemble (woodwind quintet), 2nd of 6 in the marching competition, 2nd in drumline and 3rd in color guard.

Bloomfield won best in their class - Class A, Mr. Hoffman won the overall band director's award, and the band took home the top prize at the pageant, the Albert E. Whitney Overall Achievement Award, named for the pageant's founder.
